Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, host of a TV show and actor best known for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. She was born in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is from an extended family with a lot of problems. She spent the majority of her childhood taking care of her sister Frankie who was afflicted by the disease of polio. As a teenager, she had many problems with her mom. Sheryl states that her mother was once brutally stabbed by her father over getting too close. Sheryl was a soldier right after her graduation from her college. Her passion was comedy. The only woman that made it to the competition in 1989 Miller Lite Comedy Search. Her TV professional career started in 1992 when she was a guest performer for the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. She was the host of the TV show Oh Drama! in 2000.
