Gomez started her acting career in 2002 in the popular children's television series Barney & Friends. She has been honored with numerous accolades, such as being named Woman of the Year by Billboard in 2017. In 2017, she also set fifteen Guinness World Records. Time magazine named Her one of the 100 most powerful people worldwide in 2020. Her following is huge on social media, and is the most followed actress and musician on Instagram.
